Frozen | Lady finger

Okra (Đậu bắp) is a green finger-like fruit vegetable, which is why it has been nicknamed lady finger.

Lady fingers are found in many tropical areas. The taste is slightly spicy when eaten raw. During the preparation when you cut them, light mucus is released, this is a natural binding agent of the lady finger. This dissolves quickly if you wash them with some salt water.

It also has a taste similar to green beans and eggplants. In Vietnamese cuisine we can find lady fingers in canh chua soup (sweet and sour soup). Young lady fingers are often used in combination with other vegetables such as zucchini, eggplant, bell pepper and tomato. In addition to stewing, lady fingers can also be grilled, stir-fried and used raw in salads.
